The Best of FLICK

Iguana also hosts The Best of FLICK, a showcase of short films from this year’s Festival programme. Included in the programme will be ‘The Park’ by Nick Gillespie, a supernatural horror set in a country park; Gareth Crooke’s delightful animation ’10 Ways to Shear a Sheep’; and Brian Madden’s documentary ‘Funnel Vision’ about the artist and record sleeve designer Rick Myers, featuring interviews with ‘Doves’ and ‘Badly Drawn Boy’.
Also featured will be some of the best films by students. From MMU, we will see a selection including Gavin Sodo & Harry Shotton’s remake of the classic horror, ‘The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari’. At the other end of the educational spectrum we will be showing ‘The Magic Rock Pool’ made by 5-10 year olds from the WFA’s First Light Movies project.
