We are delighted to announce our ambitious and innovative theatre project as part of Chorlton Arts Festival 2015…
Theatre Exterior will present newly-commissioned theatre in site-specific locations, in potential venues such as a Barbers or Bookstores, with the headline production performed on a Metrolink tram as it travels from Chorlton to Manchester Airport on Sunday 17th May.
Chorlton Arts Festival has commissioned award-winning Theatre Company, Shred Productions to create and deliver a new piece of work which will take site-specific theatre to a whole new level. Travelling along the newly opened tram line to Manchester Airport, the production will explore how we journey through and get to know a city and the importance of making strong connections with the people who live alongside us – bringing vivid performance and ambitious storytelling to a truly unexpected venue – this unique theatre event will celebrate the city and ask what it means to live in Manchester in 2015.
Tickets for all Theatre Exterior commissions will be free of charge, however, registration is essential. Details of how to register will be announced in April.
Thank you to TfGM for their support and making this project possible
