Festival Eucharist
Join us at St Clement’s as we celebrate this year’s Festival with a morning service full of music, drama and dance. The service will include a special mass setting and a performance from The Jean Geddes Dancers. The President and Preacher will be The Revd Dr John Grant.

The Gruffalo:
A Mini-Musical!
A composition workshop for children based on the story ‘The Gruffalo’ and led by flute, oboe and piano trio ‘Intriplicate’. The workshop will end in a complete performance, using the music composed in the session. Children can bring along any instrument they would like to play. Percussion instruments will also be available. ‘Intriplicate’ are professional musicians who have played in venues across the country, including St Martin-in-the-Fields, London.

Let’s Salsa
Dust off your dancing shoes and enjoy an energetic afternoon of fun with ‘Didsbury Salsa’. Whether you’re on your own or with friends they’ll have you on your feet in no time. The afternoon starts with an introduction to Salsa footwork, followed by a group dance known as a Cuban wheel, where you may even pick up a bit of Spanish! All ages and abilities welcome.

A Garland of English Song
Fiona Stuart-Wilson (Soprano), Bernard Robertson (Piano)
Love, desire, passion and yearning are some of the themes in this concert of songs from the 17th to the 21st century. The recital features songs by Mozart, Grieg and Wagner, as well as some well-loved and other less familiar songs from the varied landscape of English vocal music, including pieces by Purcell, Stanford, and Warlock.

Souza Winds
Manchester-based Souza Winds, recent semi-finalists in the Royal Overseas League competition, perform an evening recital of music for Wind Quintet. From classics of the genre through to hidden gems, the beauty and panache of their playing will delight all.
