FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHT
The Voice Collective and The Lovenotes
The Voice Collective is a young, 11 piece, a cappella harmony group. They perform their own arrangements of jazz, soul, pop, rock, world music, folk songs and classical, all sung with enthusiasm and style.
This is followed by soulful, jazzy, a capella music from three (sometimes four!) local women who create stunning close harmonies with exciting, often unexpected rhythms. Their original compositions and arrangements are delivered with a charm and ease that belie their complexity. In age, the Lovenotes span three (sometimes four!) decades, bringing a breadth of experience and material to each set. You may or may not find them pretty, but they are certainly witty… and everso gay!
