LITTERBUGS

LITTERBUGS

Chorlton’s primary school children are helping to clear our streets of litter by capturing a swarm of LITTERBUGS and holding them captive for the duration of Chorlton Arts Festival.

Led by artists Claire Law and Lisa Watson, this community art project links with 100 Days Challenge Manchester 2008 and highlights the role we all play in keeping our local streets clean and in promoting the use of recycling to minimise rubbish.

Using scrap and recycled materials the children have created a swarm of hovering LITTERBUGS which serve to remind us of the overwhelming amount of waste we dispose of in the course of our daily lives.

See artHOUSE for details of where you can find the captured LITTERBUGS
